TEACH YOGA. TOUCH HEARTS.

SEPTEMBER 2026 TO JUNE 2027

Are you ready?

Have you thought about taking your yoga practice to the next level? Even if you are not planning to teach, yoga teacher training can be a profoundly transformative personal journey--- a way to grow yourself using the guiding principles of ancient yogic philosophy.

🌿 Yoga Teacher Training: Where Eastern Wisdom Meets Western Embodiment
( Please note that the YTT is almost at capacity with 14 registered students)

At the heart of this training is a simple truth: yoga was born from ancient Eastern traditions, yet it continues to evolve through the lived experience of modern Western practitioners. This program is designed as a bridge — a place where timeless philosophy meets contemporary understanding of anatomy, movement, and personal transformation.

✨ The Vision

This training invites students to step into yoga not just as a physical practice, but as a path of awakening. Rooted in the teachings of the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and classical yogic traditions, it also recognizes that Western bodies often arrive with different histories — long hours at desks, chronic stress, tight hips, overactive minds, and a longing for deeper meaning.

🌸 What Makes This Training Unique

  • Philosophy — Students explore the foundations of yoga as a spiritual discipline: meditation, pranayama, ethics, subtle body theory, and the art of self-inquiry.

  • Anatomy — Instead of forcing bodies into shapes, we study biomechanics, functional movement, and trauma‑informed approaches that honor each student’s structure and story.

  • Modern Teaching Skills — You learn how yoga is practiced, taught, and lived in the West today: inclusive language, sequencing for diverse bodies, and creating safe, empowering spaces.

  • Embodied Practice — Movement becomes a meditation. Asana becomes a conversation with the body. Philosophy becomes something you feel, not just study.

🌞 The Experience

Imagine mornings beginning with silent meditation and breathwork, followed by asana practices that weave together alignment, intuition, and energetic awareness. Afternoons unfold with philosophy discussions, anatomy labs, and hands‑on teaching practice. Evenings close with reflection, journaling, and community connection.

This is not just a training — it’s a journey inward, a re‑patterning of how you move, breathe, and show up in the world.

🌱 The Transformation

Graduates leave with:

  • A grounded understanding of yoga’s roots

  • The ability to teach with clarity, compassion, and confidence

  • A deeper relationship with their own body and inner teacher

  • A toolkit for guiding others through meaningful, accessible practice

  • A sense of belonging to a lineage that is ancient, living, and evolving

“My 200 hour YTT with Sohum Yoga and Meditation was a life changing experience. The teachers and the guest speakers that they brought in were excellent. The information I learned on yogic philosophy, breathwork, meditation and Asana were wonderful. The sense of community they fostered created a beautiful group of new yoga teachers who all became friends.” ~ Beth S, trainee from RYT, 2025

“I highly recommend this yoga teacher training! Ritu and April are so knowledgeable, attentive, and caring, and I learned more about both yoga and myself than I could have anticipated. I attended this program with the intention of teaching yoga, and I feel incredibly well-prepared. However, it would be just as valuable as a way to deepen your own practice, even if you don't plan to teach others. If you're considering enrolling, take the leap!” ~ Kendra C, trainee from RYT- 2025

“The journey to yoga teaching and living a yoga-inspired life is a personal and intimate one. It takes highly skilled, discreet, inspired, focused, experienced and kind leaders to illuminate the path. Sohum offered that and more for a well rounded, balanced and centered experience. Life changing, inspirational and transformative. Highly recommend the course, the teachers and their added lecturers and materials. They are - that.” ~ Rita V, trainee from RYT, 2025
